September 10, 2012 – Local auto accident attorney and author Parker Layrisson has written a legal consumer guide, “Accident Handbook: Top 5 Mistakes to Avoid,” and is offering free copies to the public on his website.
“‘Accident Handbook’ stems from a desire to share the knowledge I have accumulated during a decade of practicing law,” said Layrisson. “I’m committed to educating my readers about car crash injury claims before they may actually need the knowledge, so that they are well prepared to face legal challenges if and when they arise.”
According to Layrisson, “Accident Handbook” is an educational 45-page legal consumer guide about motor vehicle accident cases that covers topics such as auto accident myths, mistakes that can wreck your claim, protecting yourself after an accident, choosing a lawyer, and tips on handling small cases without a lawyer.
The Parker Layrisson Law Firm has offices in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Ponchatoula.
Layrisson is a Tulane University honors graduate and a former No. 1 ranked LSU Law student who began his publishing career as Editor-in-Chief of the Louisiana Law Review. In addition to “Accident Handbook,” Parker Layrisson is the author or co-author of another legal consumer guide, a law book, a legal column, and a law review note. Prior to founding the Parker Layrisson Law Firm, he worked as United States Judicial Law Clerk, Louisiana Assistant Attorney General, and Ponchatoula City Prosecutor.
In 2009, Layrisson received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer review rating for professional excellence in legal abilities and ethical standards (AV Preeminent). Later that year, New Orleans Magazine named him to its “Top Lawyers” list. In 2011, the world’s largest legal directory, Avvo.com, awarded Mr. Layrisson its highest available rating (10.0 Superb). He was named to Louisiana Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” list in 2012.
